Administrative Professionals Day is observed each year on Wednesday during the last full week of April. This year, that’s April 26th. There are a lot of ways to show the admins in your life how much you appreciate them: buying them flowers, bringing them their favorite coffee, or taking them out to lunch are great options. Another option is a heartfelt card letting them know how much you rely on their help.

Once you have all the “thank yous” out of the way, it is time to get back to work. One of the many things your administrative professional can help you with is keeping your profile up-to-date.

If it’s your administrative professional’s first time updating your account, they can start by logging into your account, then they can click on the “My Account” button at the top right of your dashboard. Have them select the “Account Settings” button to go to your profile. Once there, clicking on the “View Your Profile” button will show them what your information looks like to’s visitors. Have them verify that your photo, logo, contact information, social network links, coverage area, designations, and bio are all accurate and up to date. Any changes that need to be made can be input through the tabs in the “Agent Profile” section of your dashboard.

Profile Info Tab: Here your admin can update whether or not your profile is listing in the agent directory, your “about me” section, personal photo, and business logo.

Contact Info Tab: Your admin can change your name, title, license number, phone and fax numbers, email address, website URL, and text alert number through the contact info tab.

Social Networks Tab: If your admin would like to add or update the links to your Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, and blog, they can do so in the social networks tab.

Office Info Tab: Your office name and address can be updated any time through the office info tab of your profile.

Coverage Area Tab: If your admin would like to add, remove, or update any of the five cities your profile shows up in, they will want to visit the “Coverage Area” tab.

Designations Tab: If you’ve earned any new designations or certifications your admin can add them to your profile here. Don’t forget to have them mark that you are a licensed REALTOR® as well!

Password Tab: When was the last time your account password was updated? It can be updated any time in the profile’s “Password” tab.
